Professional Evaluation, Inc. (PEI) Privacy Statement
PEI respects and values your privacy and the confidentiality of the information you choose to share with us. We are committed to the protection of this information and assure your privacy when participating in CME programs on our website. PEI provides this Online Privacy Statement to make you aware of our privacy policy and practices and to make this notice easy to find, we make it available at the bottom of every web page.

We've structured our website so that, in general, you can visit the site without identifying yourself or revealing any personal information. Once you choose to provide us with personal information through a PEI Profile, CME4ME, an interactive program registration, or in our store, you can be assured that it will only be used to support your relationship with PEI.

When you are visiting our website we automatically collect the following information:
• The type of browser and operating system on which that browser is operating.
• The pages that were visited and the date and time of that visit.

We use this data to better understand how our site is navigated and to modify and improve the site. We do not use cookies — a small line of text stored with your web browser — on this site to track visitor’s identification. We do use cookies however when you register for online interactive programs. The cookies are used to remember that you have logged in to the website. Since web page requests are stateless in that each request is a completely independent transaction, something is needed to remember who you are between requests. No personal information is stored in the cookie. The session id is just a random string assigned each time you visit the portal and the uid is an internal id assigned to you when you registered for a program online.

We keep confidential any personal information that you provide to us. This information includes your name, postal and email addresses, and telephone number. The personal information you provide is stored in a secure location and only authorized people are able to access it. We do not share our registrants’ information with anyone or any institution, except as may be required by law.

Information collected when you register for a PEI Profile or a CME program:
If you decide to register for one of our program offerings, we will collect personal information that you voluntarily share with us. This information is transferred using secure encryption technology.

Information collected when you participate in a PEI interactive CME program:
We ask participants to register, answer all program questions, and to complete a program evaluation of the CME activity providing us with feedback on the educational value of the program. PEI uses your information to better understand your needs and provide you with better service. Specifically, we use your information to help you complete a store transaction, to communicate CME credits needs to the accrediting agency, and to enhance our website for you. PEI will not sell, rent, or lease your personally information to others.

You may request for us to contact you with email updates when new material is posted to the site. We will only contact you if you indicate that you want to be notified through the CME4ME registration. If you want to change your status regarding these notifications at a later time, you can change it yourself via any email notification page you receive.

If using the PEI store and a fee is charged, you can pay online and we ask for credit card information. These transactions are encrypted before transmission over the internet.

PEI is committed to ensuring the security of your information. To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the appropriate use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online. As described above, we use encryption when collecting or transferring sensitive data such as credit card information.

Change in policy:
As our internet site changes and grows, we may collect additional information or may use information in different ways. If our information practices should change, we will modify this policy statement. When it does, we will post a notice on our homepage to inform visitors of this change.

Links to other websites:
We provide links to other websites that may have privacy policies that are different from ours and not affiliated with PEI. We are not responsible for the content or privacy policies of those sites.
